Autograph letter signed, dated : Weimar May 17 1856, to [Caroline Unger], 1856 May 17.

Concerning the singer Mlle de Meischner, expressing the hope that she will choose neither Roméo [i.e Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi?] nor Lucrèce Borgia for her debut, adding that it would be desirable if Meischner came in the first days of June so she could sing two roles before the theatre closes for vacation, suggesting [Donizetti's] Favorite and Valentine, mentioning Johanna Wagner, Mlle Fischer de Tiefensee, Meyerbeer, [Bellini's] Norma, M. le Beaulieu, Schober, Gumpert, etc.
